Four months after the murders, Claire reverts to her maiden name and continues her progressive agenda. Annette, now strained from Bill, plots with Usher, no longer Vice President, to assassinate Claire. She asks Doug to perpetrate the act, but he is reluctant, mainly desiring to protect Frank's legacy. Claire, through now-Speaker Cole, blackmails Justice Abruzzo into recusing himself in a case dealing with her power to launch nuclear weapons. Janine Skorsky and Doug continue to work to uncover the Underwoods, with Doug leaking contents of Frank's secret audio diary while Claire blames everything on Frank. Claire then uses the pretense of ICO obtaining a nuclear weapon to create a crisis, leading the Shepherds and Doug to accelerate their plans.

During a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus, cracks begin to appear in Conway's façade as he loses his cool. In spite of this, Frank's own baggage and 12% approval rating only allows him a tie with Conway in the House, while Claire manages to secure the Senate vote, becoming Acting President of the United States. In light of the tie, Claire orders a special election for Ohio and Tennessee.

Brothers & Sisters premiered in 2006, a story about a California family who own the fictional Ojai Foods company. It is filled with fascinating details and a tour is well worth your time. I recommend visiting The Gamble House to admire the architecture and history as much as I recommend visiting it as a filming location. I have toured the house for free on two different occasions which you can read about here.

Kate Mara spent the least amount of time on House of Cards but like Rachel Brosnahan, her role was hugely impactful on the story. I was lucky to get into film at a time that was very interesting for drama. But if you look now, the focus is not on the same kind of films that were made in the 90s. When I look now, the most interesting plots, the most interesting characters, they are on TV.

I spoke with Marley about this year's cruise, the artist he'd still love to have him on the cruise in the future and more. After a three-year hiatus due to COVID, Damian Marley and his annual JamRock Reggae Cruise departed from Miami yesterday (December 7), bound for Jamaica. Joined this year by such reggae icons as Burning Spear, Shabba Ranks, Shinehead, Maxi Priest, Stephen Marley and more, the five-day excursion blends reggae with the Jamaican culture, such as food and more, as well as yoga and other activities.
